Jean_Marie Massaud
Born in France in 1966, Jean-Marie Massaud studied at the renowned “Les Ateliers Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle” in Paris. After completing his studies, he first worked with Marc Berthier; then in 2000, he founded the successful “Studio Maussaud” together with Daniel Pouzet, a studio which designed furnishings for Cassina and Axor as well as stores and stands for Lancôme and Poltrona Frau. Massaud’s work has been honored with numerous prizes including the Compasso d’Oro (1995–98), the Designer of the Year Award (The Paris Furniture fair 2007), and the ELLE Decoration International Award (2007).

Richard Frinier
Richard Frinier was born in 1946 in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of California State University Long Beach holding a Master of Arts degree, Frinier has been a product designer in the home industries since 1977. As the former Chief Creative Officer of Brown Jordan for over 20 years, Frinier founded his own design consultancy firm in 2002, which is based in Los Angeles, California. Frinier has been the recipient of more than 66 awards. In 1997, 2004, 2005 and 2007, Frinier was honored by Metropolitan Home magazine as ranking among the Top 100 Designs in the World. In 2006, The Robb Report magazine recognized Frinier for his magical design Daydream by DEDON, as one of the best designs at large over the past 30 years.

EOOS
The creative Austrian designer trio EOOS – consisting of the designers Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl – founded their own design office in 1995 and specialized in the design of showrooms, lighting, and furniture. Examples of the trio’s extraordinary work include the Adidas and Armani Cosmetics flagship stores, the seating system “Kube” for Matteograssi, the two-person tub for Duravit, and the innovative kitchen concept b2 for Bulthaup.
EOOS makes products in which the synergies of the artistic traditions of cultural history and ancient mythologies are combined with new technologies in unique creations. For their work, EOOS has received the Compasso d’Oro (2004), the Design Week Award (2005), the IF Design Award (2007), and the red dot design award: best of the best (2007).

Nicolas Thomkins
Nicolas Thomkins, born 1953 in Ascona, Switzerland, studied fine arts and sculpture at Düsseldorf Art Academy as well as industrial design at the Folkwang Design School of Essen University. In 1983, he founded his own design office, first in Maidenhead, Great Britain, followed by further offices in Lucerne, Essen and Cologne, here under the name “T.B.A. Designsozietät” and together with two partners. He has worked for clients such as Imperial, Miele, Gunther Lambert, Küppersbusch and Schindler Aufzüge AG and Fendi Casa. Nicolas Thomkins has won several awards in international design competitions such as the red dot design award: best of the best (2007), Legacy of the Future Award (2008) and iF design award china (2008).

Harry and Camila
The Dutch Harry Hpj van Ierssel (1966) and the Chilean Camila vega Faba (1971) run the Barcelona design studio „Studio Harry & Camila“ together. They met in 1994 at the Domus Academy in Milan. They gathered their first practical experiences working at renowned Italian design studios such as Guido Venturini, Stefano Giovannoni and Mattheo Thun. In 2002 Harry & Camila moved to Spain. In addition to numerous display designs, they developed products for Abet Laminati, Alessi, Covo, Fontana Arte, Koziol, Living Divani and Rosenthal. In addition to other awards, Harry & Camila received the international design award Focus in Silver in 2005 as well as the Good Design Award in 2008.

Frank Ligthart
Frank Ligthart was born in 1971 in the Dutch city of Wijchen; he lives in Antwerp, Belgium. He studied product development at the Henry Vandevelde- Institute at the academy of Antwerp in Belgium and industrial design at the University of Technology in Delft. Ligthart designed locomotives for the Dutch railway, and later – as freelance designer – furniture. Since 2001 he has worked for companies such as Brown Jordan, Grange, Garpa and Lambert. For his outstanding work Ligthart was awarded with several prestigious design awards, such as Design Plus Award (2003), red dot design award (2006), and BIDA Award for outstanding design (2006).

Philippe Starck
Philippe Starck is a high-profile French designer and architect who has been inventing continuously for the past few decades. Born in Paris in 1949, he founded his first design company after leaving the École Nissim de Camondo at 19. His commission to design the private rooms of François Mitterrand at the Elysée Palace cemented his international reputation in 1982. This indefatigable designer with a vision of a better world has maintained for years that an object has to be good before it can be beautiful. His countless international awards confirm that his design motto is a good one.

Toan Nguyen
Toan Nguyen is one of the most promising young designers on the international scene. Born in Paris in 1969, he graduated with honors in Industrial Design from ENSCI, the prestigious Paris design school, in 1995.
After professional experiences in design studios in Paris, Barcelona and Milan, he began his collaboration with Antonio Citterio, one of the masters of Italian design, in 1998. By 2000, Toan was managing the design department of Citterio’s busy practice, and in 2004 he became Citterio’s design partner, often co-signing works with the master himself. During his years with Antonio Citterio, Toan worked with a vast array of the world’s most design-conscious brands, from Alfa Romeo to Zegna Sport. Along the way, he served as an assistant professor of design at the celebrated Domus Academy inMilan as well as at the Mendrisio Architecture Academy in Switzerland. Since launching his own design offices in Milan and Paris in 2008, Toan continues to collaborate with some of the world’s leading companies. His innovative modular lounging system for DEDON is currently in development.

Daniel Pouzet & Fred Frety
Creators of the NESTREST, an innovative new hanging pod woven from supersize strands of DEDON Fiber, Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety are two of Paris’s most intriguing design talents. Close collaborators of Jean-Marie Massaud, with whom they have forged new ways of working and approaching design, Daniel and Fred bring a rich diversity of experience to each project they undertake, alone or in a team.
Born and raised in Bucharest and a graduate of UP4 (Paris-Charenton), Daniel collaborated with Philippe Starck on large-scale architectural commissions before joining up with Jean-Marie. He has since worked on projects ranging from Renault’s architectural identity to the groundbreaking Chivas stadium in Mexico, all while touring the world for three years with his young family. A graduate of Paris’s prestigious ENSCI industrial design school, Fred worked with Marc Berthier, then with Werner Aisslinger, before joining up with Jean-Marie and Daniel in 2004. He has collaborated with them on projects ranging from bathroom fixtures to yachts to a sustainable village in the Philippines.
